Artist Statement: My paintings explore how time can be expressed through the interplay of imagery, material and surface. The final images are amalgamations of autobiography, historical references and free association arrived at through a combination of abstract forms, fragmented figures, and hybrid structures. –Eric Sutphin, 2025
